Baseball Freshman of the Week: Trey Jacobs, UNC Pembroke

Jacobs hit .545 in five starts this week, while also registering three home runs, 10 RBI and six runs scored for his third weekly award this season.  The freshman from Hope Mills, N.C., tallied a .520 on-base percentage and a 1.091 slugging percentage (1.611 OPS). He registered two or more hits in all five games, including a pair of 3-hit outings.  He hit .500 with three home runs, seven RBI and four runs scored in series win at Francis Marion which a two-homer outing in game two against Patriots.  Jacobs is tied for third in the PBC in batting average and is second in slugging percentage.  He leads the PBC with 18 doubles on the year and is third in RBIs and 10thin home runs.
