GAFFNEY, S.C. -- Eight Peach Belt Conference women's soccer players have been named All-Region by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) on Wednesday. Six of those players are from Columbus State University, all of whom were named to the first team and are now eligibile for All-America consideration. CSU's Olivia Jarrell was named the region Player of the Year. The six CSU players is the most from any school on the All-Region team.
Jarrell adds the honor to a long list of career accomplishments, including Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year status earlier this month. The senior leads the Lady Cougars with 42 points on the season, and is tied for the team lead with 16 goals and 10 assists. Jarrell has been on the D2CCA All-Region team in each of her four seasons.
The D2CCA team is selected by Sports Information Directors in the Peach Belt Conference, Conference Carolinas and the South Atlantic Conference.
