AUGUSTA, GA – Fifth-seeded Lander was down 1-0 and 2-1, but rallied to win the final two sets and defeat fourth-seeded Georgia College 3-2 in the PBC Tournament quarterfinals on Friday. With the victory, the Bearcats advance to the semifinals on Saturday where they will face top-seeded Flagler at 4:30pm. Match scores were 21-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-15 and 15-13.

The two teams were tied on six different occasions in the fifth set alone, but Georgia College never held the lead at any point. Leading 13-12, Lander got a block from Maddie Moss and Maya Walker to get a double match point. GC fought off the first with a kill from Mary Kate Kotzin. Lander won the match on the next serve on a kill from Walker.
