Shaw played in his first two games of the season last week and was nearly unstoppable with 15 points and 15.5 rebounds per game. The All-Conference senior center from Elgin, Ill., scored 12 with 16 rebounds in a loss to Newberry and followed that with 18 points and 15 more boards in a loss to Emmanuel. He shot 83% (10-12) from the field and added 4.0 blocks per game. The 16 and 15 rebound games are 1 and 2 on the PBC's single-game chart for this season. Shaw needs to reach 75% of games played to be counted among the PBC and NCAA leaders, but he would be leading the conference in rebounding by nearly 3.5 per game at the current mark.
