Women's Basketball Player of the Week: Mackenzie Johnson, Young Harris

Johnson earns her second weekly honor of the season after posting three straight double-doubles as the Mountain Lions went 2-1. The junior forward from Chattanooga, Tenn., averaged 15.7 points and 12.3 rebounds per game, starting with 19 points and 12 boards in a conference win over Flagler. She followed that with 16 points and 13 rebounds in a win over Saint Leo and 12 points with 12 boards in a loss to Embry-Riddle. She added 4.0 assists per game along with a pair of blocks and a steal. Johnson leads the PBC and is ranked fourth in NCAA Division II with 13.7 rebounds per game. She is also second in the league in scoring, fifth in field goal percentage, sixth in free throw percentage and 22nd in assists.
