Men's Soccer
Player of the Week: Liam Fisch, Flagler (Jr., MF, Rüsselheim, Germany)
- Became the first player in the PBC this season with three assists in a game as Flagler defeated North Georgia 4-3 as part of a 1-0-1 week
- Also scored a goal against the Nighthawks, giving him five points in that contest which is tied for the most in a single game in the PBC this season
- Currently tied for third in the PBC in assists and is fourth in the league in points per game
Defender of the Week: Mohamed Mahrous, Clayton State (Jr., D, Marrakech, Morocco)
- Led the Laker defense in a 5-1 win over North Georgia in their lone match of the week
- Helped to limit the Nighthawks to 10 total shots with eight on goal, allowing only a goal on a PK with under two minutes to play
- Clayton State leads the league with only nine goals allowed on the season; they also lead the conference with three shutouts
Goalkeeper of the Week: Mauricio Uribe, Clayton State (Jr., GK, Miami, Fla.)
- Made seven saves and conceded one goal on a PK in a 5-1 win over North Georgia, playing all 90 minutes
- Leads the PBC in saves percentage, goals against average and shutouts
- Has allowed only four goals in the last six matches with a 0.75 goals against average against conference opponents
Women's Soccer
Player of the Week: Mari Kalvatn, USC Beaufort (Sr., MF, Stavanger, Norway)
- Scored four goals with an assist in a pair of Sand Shark wins last week
- Scored twice, including the first and game-winning goal, against Erskine then added two more and an assist against Albany State
- Is tied for second in the PBC in goals and assists; leads the conference and is currently ranked third in NCAA Division II with 2.86 points per game
Defender of the Week: Kelsey Croft, Columbus State (Fr., D, Douglasville, Ga.)
- Helped lead a Cougar defense to a shutout of Tusculum in their lone game last week, playing 83 total minutes
- CSU held the Pioneers to three total shots, none on goal, and extended their shutout streak to 384:22 with no goals allowed in four straight games
- CSU is the only team to not allow a goal to a conference opponent; they are also tied for second in the PBC with five shutouts on the season
Goalkeeper of the Week: Henley Grunst, Flagler (Fr., GK, Anderson, S.C.)
- Recorded her fifth shutout of the season with four saves in a 4-0 win over Georgia College & State University
- GCSU outshot Flagler 11-9 in the game with four shots on goal; Grunst made all four of her saves in the second half
- Leads the Peach Belt in goals against average, save percentage and shutout percentage; is also 24th in Division II in GAA and tied for ninth in shutouts
Volleyball
Player of the Week: Olivia Dow, Lander (Sr., OH, Pickens, S.C.)
- Averaged 4.89 kills per set while hitting an eye-popping .479 on the week; committed only nine attack errors in 73 total attacks, adding seven blocks and six digs as the Bearcats went 3-0
- Had 19 kills in the first of two matches against GCSU, hitting .452; hit .800 with 12 kills and no errors in 15 attacks in the second match against the Bobcats
- Currently second in the PBC in hitting percentage and fourth in kills per set
Specialist of the Week: Lauren Dow, Lander (Fr., S, Pickens, S.C.)
- Averaged 11.78 assists per set as the Bearcats went 3-0; also ad 4.33 digs per set and seven aces
- Had 39 assists in the first 3-0 win over GCSU, had 35 in the second match; recorded a double-double of 32 assists and 11 digs against Anderson
- Leads the PBC with 9.52 assists per set (10.92 against league opponents) and is second in total aces and aces per set
Men's Cross Country
Runner of the Week: Blake Lewis, Columbus State (Jr., St. Simons Island, Ga.)
Lewis finished in third place at the Asics Invitational on Saturday. The junior covered the 8k course in 25:49.3, less than two seconds out of the lead in an event that featured 13 teams and 114 runners. His efforts led the Cougars to a team win at the event with 46 points.
Women's Cross Country
Runner of the Week: Claire Mills, North Georgia (Sr., Lilburn, Ga.)
Mills finished in fourth place at the NCAA Southeast Region Preview, helping the Nighthawks to a third-place finish in the nine-team field. The senior ran the 6k track in 23:04.7, less than 30 seconds out of the lead, for the fastest 6k time run in the Peach Belt this season.
Women's Golf
Golfer of the Week: Marine Legentil, Columbus State (So., Johannesburg, South Africa)
Legentil finished in a tie for third place at the Savannah Lakes Invitational with rounds of 71-73-72 for an even-par 216. The sophomore finished three shots out of the lead and had one of only three under-par rounds in the first 18. Legentil is currently third in the PBC with a 73.67 stroke average.
