PBC Enters into Partnership with Linius to Deploy Whizzard in United States

AUGUSTA, GA -- The Peach Belt Conference and commissioner David Brunk are pleased to announce that the league has entered into a partnership with Linius Technologies Limited to provide Linius Whizzard, an automated video highlights, content curation, and video personalization solution, to its 10 member institutions.  The partnership is the first in the United States for Linius which is based in Melbourne, Australia.

“We are very pleased to be partnering with Linius to bring this exciting new video capability to the PBC team, our member schools, our students, and fans," said commissioner Brunk from the league office in Augusta, Ga. "For the first time, we will be able to quickly publish highlight videos to augment the live and VOD streaming capabilities on the PBC Sports Network. Additionally, Whizzard will allow member schools and teams to search, curate and publish videos to meet their individual needs, including season recaps, player spotlights, and more. This will greatly increase engagement from our fans and allow us to monetize the video via sponsorships. The PBC has a history of being first to market with leading technologies and experiences for our members and fans, and we are excited to be the first NCAA conference using Linius Solutions.”

The agreement provides PBC member institutions Linius Whizzard, which will be used by internal media and marketing teams at the conference office and member schools to curate and publish content to The Peach Belt Conference Sports Network, member school websites, and social media. Included in the deployment is Whizzard’s new automated highlights capability, which automates the creation of highlight videos, allowing PBC to rapidly publish highlights of each game. The agreement covers men’s and women’s basketball with full automated access for those utilizing NCAA Live Stats.

“We are delighted to be selected by the PBC to enhance the PBC Sports Network," said Linius CEO James Brennan. "PBC is a fantastic first partner conference to showcase the capabilities of Linius Whizzard for college conferences, schools, and fans. Linius solutions are currently used by professional sports globally including teams in the Premier League and Belgian Pro League, Cricket Australia, the North American Hockey League, the National Basketball League in Australia, and more. It is exciting to bring this capability to the US college sports market.

“Our solutions enable conferences and schools to unlock the value of their video content to satisfy growing demand from fans, students, and alumni, driving deeper engagement and creating opportunities to monetize this content through sponsorship, advertising, and subscription. Working with everything from live matches through 50-year archives, we enable media teams and even fans themselves to search for their favorite team, players, and actions to build personalized video highlight videos. The deployment at PBC is highly replicable, enabling us to quickly support the needs of conferences and schools across the NCAA.”
