
Softball Player of the Week: Abbie Behe, Lander
Behe was solid offensively and defensively as the Bearcats went 3-0. The sophomore second baseman from High Point, N.C., hit .556 with a 1.222 slugging percentage with a double, a triple, a home run and five RBIs. She tripled in the opener against Claflin, the doubled and drove in a pair against Erskine. She drove in three more and homered against Limestone. She also had no errors in six chances at second base, drew a pair of walks for a .636 on-base percentage and scored three runs. The reigning PBC Freshman of the Year, Behe is currently tied for seventh in the PBC in base hits and tied for ninth in RBIs.

Softball Pitcher of the Week: Hannah Rose Corbin, Columbus State
Corbin pitched the second no-hitter of her career against Converse on Sunday. The senior from Clanton, Ala., struck out 13 of the 16 batters she faced over five innings, allowing only two walks to the Valkyries. She struck out the first five batters she faced in order, striking out the side three times. She also drove in a pair of runs with a two-run double in the first. Corbin leads the Peach Belt in strikeouts and is ninth in opponent batting average.

Softball Freshman of the Week: Jordan Sheets, Flagler
Sheets pitched a complete-game shutout in her first career start against Eckerd on Sunday. The freshman from New Port Richey, Fla., allowed three hits over seven innings with two walks and one strikeout as Flagler won 3-0. She retired the side in order twice and only one Eckerd runner made it as far as third base. Sheets is one of three PBC pitchers leading the conference with a 0.00 ERA; she is also fourth in opponent batting average.
