Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week: Adam Mather, Lander

Mather led the Bearcats to a huge conference-opening win over #19 Alabama-Huntsville on Saturday. The senior attacker from Cincinnati, Ohio, scored six goals and added an assist in the 17-9 win over the Chargers to move to 1-0 in conference play. Mather scored three of his six goals in the second quarter as the Bearcats outscored UAH 6-3 in that frame and were able to take a 9-8 lead at the half. Mather put 8-of-11 shots on goal and added two ground balls and two caused turnovers against UAH. With his six goals, Mather has now eclipsed 100 career goals scored at Lander and is 21 points away from recording 200. He is currently ranked fifth in the PBC in goals per game, second in assists per game and leads the conference in points per game.
