AUGUSTA, GA -- The Georgia Southwestern State University men's golf team fired a monster round of 280 (-8) to erase a two-stroke deficit and claim the 2023 PBC Men's Golf Championship on Sunday in Augusta. The Hurricanes won their first-ever PBC title, finishing six strokes ahead of their nearest competitors. GSW's Nicolas Escobar won the individual medalist honor.
The event was held at the 7,086-yard, par-72 Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta.

He strung together 10 straight pars until a birdie on #6 (his 15th hole) followed by his only bogey of the day on seven. He finished par-par to walk away with as the medalist, the first GSW men's golfer to claim that honor. Escobar finished leading the event in total pars and was one-under on the par-3s.
North Georgia's Stephen Kinsel was one stroke back in second following a final-round 71 that featured three birdies. UNG's Evan Thompson was third, jumping five spots on the individual leaderboard after shooting a 32 in his first nine holes that included an eagle on the 11th.
