RADNOR, PA -- Montevallo's Connor Frederick and Lander's Adam Mather were both selected to play in the USILA Senior All-Star Game. They are the first PBC players to ever be invited to the event, which was held on May 26 at Cabrini University.
Mather racked up the accolades this season, adding a Second-Team selection to the USILA Div. II All-Region South Team while being named to the CSC Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team and a USILA All-America honorable mention.
Mather was also named the PBC Player of The Year for the second consecutive season along with being named to the PBC All-Tournament Team, PBC All-Conference First Team, 2023 Inside Lacrosse Div. II All-American Preseason team and the PBC Preseason All-Conference Team this year.
Mather finished the season with 37 goals, 30 assists and 67 points. Mather also became the first player in program history to eclipse 200 career points. He also had a career-high 16-caused turnovers in 2023.
Frederick makes his All-Star appearance after a season that saw the junior earn a First Team All-PBC selection while being named USILA South Region All-Region honorable mention. Prior to the start of the season, Frederick was also named Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American honorable mention with a Preseason All-Conference nod.
Frederick, a junior from Queenstown, Md., appeared in all 18 of Montevallo's games this season. The junior totaled 31 goals and nine assists for a 40-point total on the season. Frederick added 19 ground balls and two caused turnovers. The Falcons' midfielder's top performance of the season came against Young Harris when Frederick scored four goals on eight shots to go along with an assist and two ground balls in Montevallo's 22-8 win on Senior Day.
In Friday's All-Star game, the north team defeated the south 16-12. Mather assisted on a Frederick goal in the first half.
