Norrman played at Georgia Southwestern State from 2016-20. He was named All-Conference three times and the 2020 Peach Belt Player of the Year. He graduated from GSW in 2020 and played one more collegiate season at Florida State as a graduate student.
Norrman won seven events in his time at GSW, including five in his remarkable 2019-20 campaign that was cut short by the COVID pandemic. He holds the PBC record for lowest stroke average in a season at 69.10 from that 2019-20 season and his seven career victories is tied for third-most in league history.
With his win at the Barbasol, Norrman leaps into 61st in the current FedEx Cup standings. The top 70 players in the rankings qualify for the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis on August 10.
Norrman will be back on the course this weekend at the Barracuda Championship at the Tahoe Mountain Club in Truckee, Calif.
