Volleyball

Player of the Week - Katie Miller, Lander (Jr., OH, Sugar City, Id.)

• Averaged 4.40 kills and 2.70 digs per set as the Bearcats went 3-0 on the week...hit .273 in 10 sets of action
• Had 19 kills and hit .350 in a 3-1 win over Winston-Salem State, adding a career-high six aces...had 14 kills against Carson-Newman and then 11 kills in a sweep of USC Aiken
• Leads the PBC and is ranked 18th in NCAA Division II with 4.13 kills per set...also leads the PBC in aces, is fifth in hitting percentage and eighth in blocks per set

Specialist of the Week - Lauren Dow, Lander (So., S, Pickens, S.C.)

• Averaged 10.50 assists per set and 2.80 digs per set as the Bearcats went 3-0 on the week
• Had 45 assists with 10 digs against Winston-Salem State, 30 assists with 13 digs against Carson-Newman and 30 assists and and six aces in a sweep of USC Aiken
• Currently second in the PBC with 8.18 assists per set...is second in the league in aces per set and seventh in digs per set

Men's Soccer

Player of the Week - Alex Rodriguez, Clayton State (So., MF, Valladolid, Spain)

• Scored a goal in both of the Laker wins last week, adding two assists
• Scored the lone goal in a 1-0 road win at Young Harris, handing the Mountain Lions their first loss of the season; scored a goal and added two assists in a 3-1 win at USC Aiken as the Lakers extended their winning streak to six games
• Tied for the league lead in goals, is second in assists and leads the conference in points and points per game; also tied for third in game-winning goals

Defender of the Week - Quinn Thompson, North Georgia (Sr., D, Hull, England)

• Part of a Nighthawk defense that fought USC Aiken to a scoreless tie and then held Flagler to one goal in a 2-1 win to move to the top of the PBC table
• Scored the equalizing goal in UNG's 2-1 win over Flagler just before halftime...the goal was his first of the season as he became just the third Nighthawk defender to score
• The shutout against USCA was UNG's first of the season...the Nighthawks have allowed the second-fewest goals per game in conference games this season

Goalkeeper of the Week - Mauricio Uribe, Clayton State (Sr., GK, Miami, Fla.)

• Played all 180 minutes in the Lakers' two road wins last week, allowing only one goal and making four saves
• Made three saves in a 1-0 win at Young Harris, the first time YHC has been shutout this season...gave up one goal on a PK to USC Aiken, making one save as the Lakers rallied to win 3-1
• Currently second in the PBC in goals against average and tied for third in shutouts

Women's Soccer

Player of the Week - Cassidy Brunner, Georgia Southwestern (Fr., MF, Dillsburg, Pa.)

• Scored a goal in both of GSW's conference wins last week, including the game-winner in a 1-0 win at North Georgia, GSW's first win over the Nighthawks in program history
• Scored GSW's second goal in a 4-0 win over Albany State, then sent in the winner in the 48th minute at North Georgia, one of only two shots on goal for the Hurricanes in the game
• Tied for the team lead with four goals and leads with nine points

Defender of the Week - Anna Labarbera, Columbus State (Jr., D, Demorest, Ga.)

• Led the CSU defense to back-to-back conference shutout wins last week to remain unbeaten on the season, adding an assist in a 3-0 win over USC Aiken
• Held Clayton State to four total shots with just one on goal in a 1-0 win...held USC Aiken to three total shots
• Columbus State is currently tied for second in the PBC in team goals allowed average and are tied for the league lead with seven shutouts on the season

Goalkeeper of the Week - Alana Beddow, Georgia Southwestern (So., GK, Savannah, Ga.)

• Made seven total saves and played over 150 shutout minutes in two Hurricane wins
• Made two saves over the 63 minutes she played in a 4-0 shutout of Albany State...played all 90 in a 1-0 shutout win at North Georgia, making five saves
• Currently ranked fourth in the PBC in total saves, she is also fifth in shutouts...GSW has allowed only one goal in their last four games with three shutouts, the four-game conference winning streak is the longest in program history
