AIKEN, SC -- The Converse University Valkyries won the 2024 Peach Belt Conference Overwatch championship on Saturday in Aiken, S.C.   The Valkyries defeated Kennesaw State 4-0. Converse wins their third straight title, dating back to the first in-person championship held in the fall of 2021. 

Converse was led by Adam "Garchomp" El Gammal who was named the tournament MVP.

Converse was dominant all weekend long.  The top-seed in the PBC, the Valkyries did not drop a single game, beating Columbus State 3-0 and North Georgia 3-0 en route to the championship match.  Converse was also undefeated during the regular season.

With the win, CU earns an inviation to the CECC Esports Championships, held in May in Arlington, Texas.

The Overwatch championship was held live an in-person along with the PBC League of Legends championships.  Both events were held at the Etherredge Center on the campus of USC Aiken.
