Gehlhausen Steps Down as Lander Head Women’s Basketball Coach 4/30/2024 8:16:00 PM Share: GREENWOOD - Head Women's Basketball Coach Stephanie Gehlhausen announced Tuesday that she will step down from her position as head coach of the Bearcats to accept a position on the staff at Division I Marshall University. In her two years at the helm, the Bearcats turned an eight-win season in 2022-23 into a 19-win campaign the following year. She had two athletes earn major Peach Belt Conference awards in Quadaija Langley in 2022-23 and WyKira Johnson-Kelly last season, while also having Tanyia Gordon earn an All-Conference honors during that 2023-24 season as well. "We want to thank Coach Gelhausen for all her hard while at Lander and wish her the best of luck at Marshall," said Executive Director of Athletics Brian Reese Lander will start a nationwide search for the next leader of the program immediately.
