The North Georgia Nighthawks have been voted as preseason favorites to take home the 2025-26 Men's Basketball title. The Nighthawks received nine first place votes from the league's coaches, with USCA receiving the remaining two first place votes. Augusta completes the top four, followed by Reigning PBC Champions Columbus State tied for fifth with Lander. Flagler, Georgia Southwestern, GCSU, Clayton State and Middle Georgia complete the preseason poll in order.
The preseason coaches' poll is below followed by the All-Conference team. Coaches were not permitted to rank their own teams or vote for their own players.
North Georgia enters the 2025-26 season as favorites following a fifth place finish last year. The Nighthawks ended the 2024-25 season with an 18-14 record, following an impressive showing in the PBC Tournament knocking off #3 Augusta in the first round before falling in overtime to eventual champions #2 USCA. North Georgia has a big returning class, highlighted by senior guard AJ White, a three time all conference member.
USC Beaufort have been tabbed to finish in second place this season. The Sand Sharks had an impressive season last year with a 21-10 overall record, finishing fourth in the PBC standings and making a run to the finals of the PBC Tournament in just their second season as a program. The Sand Sharks have nine returning players led by all-conference and all-tournament team member Dominic Eason.
USCA have been tabbed as third place finishers in the 2025-26 season, with two votes for first place by the league's coaches. The Pacers added the 2025 PBC Tournament title to their trophy cabinet and earned the #2 seed in the NCAA Southeast Region Tournament in 2024-25. USCA looks to rebuild with 11 additions to the roster this year.
Three PBC Men's Basketball teams were named in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) preseason poll. Reigning PBC Regular Season Champions, Columbus State was ranked #16, while North Georgia and USCA both received votes.
