The Peach Belt Conference is proud to announce that Commissioner Diana Kling has been appointed to the NCAA Division II Management Council, a prestigious leadership body that helps shape policy and governance for Division II athletics nationwide. The appointment begins in January 2026 and runs through January 2030.
Kling, who assumed the role of Peach Belt Commissioner earlier this year, brings more than two decades of experience in collegiate athletics administration. Her appointment to the Management Council reflects her deep commitment to student-athlete success, opportunity, and the advancement of Division II programs. Kling succeeds Christina Whetsel, Associate AD for Compliance and Administration and SWA at Augusta University whose term ends in January.
“I’m honored to join the NCAA Division II Management Council and represent the Peach Belt Conference at the national level, and I want to thank Christina for her hard work on behalf of the conference for the past four years,” said Kling. “This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from across the country and ensure that our student-athletes remain central in every decision we make.”
The Division II Management Council is responsible for creating policies, overseeing the division’s budget, and managing championships and membership issues. Kling has served on several other NCAA Committees during her tenure, including two separate terms on the DII Legislation Committee, the Committee on Women’s Athletics, and current service on the DII Nominating Committee.
Under Kling’s guidance, the Peach Belt Conference has continued to expand its initiatives supporting leadership development, mental health awareness, and career readiness for student-athletes. Her presence on the Management Council is expected to amplify these efforts on a national scale.
