It's PBC Women's Soccer Tournament Time!!!

The Peach Belt Conference has released the bracket for the 2025 Women’s Soccer Tournament following the conclusion of a thrilling final weekend of the regular season. PBC Tournament play will begin with the quarterfinals on Saturday, hosted by the higher seeds. The two highest remaining seeds will host the semifinals on Wednesday, November 12th and the final is set for November 15th, hosted by the highest remaining seed.

North Georgia is the top seed in the PBC Tournament for the second time in three years, having clinched the #1 seed in 2023. The Nighthawks, who are ranked #8 in the nation, completed the PBC regular season with a perfect 10-0-0 record. North Georgia is set to host #8 seed Clayton State in Dahlonega on Saturday in a repeat of today's regular season finale.

Lander will be the second seed in the PBC Tournament. The Bearcats completed the season with an 8-1-1 record in PBC play, with their only loss at the hands of eventual champions North Georgia. The Bearcats will host #7 seed USC Beaufort in Greenwood on Saturday.

Columbus State will be the #3 seed. The defending tournament champions closed out the season with an 8-2 record in conference play, with their only losses coming at the hands of #1 North Georgia and #2 Lander. The Cougars will host #6 USCA in Columbus on Saturday.

GCSU and Flagler both finished the regular season with 17 points. The first step in the Peach Belt tiebreak process is head-to-head record. The teams tied in regular season play, moving the tie to the next step in the process which is to compare each team's results vs the highest seed not involved in the tie and continue until the tie is broken. Both teams lost the North Georgia, Lander and Columbus State. #6 USCA became the eventual tie breaker, as GCSU defeated USCA while Flagler tied with USCA.

Therefore, GCSU will be the #4 seed and Flagler will be the #5 seed. The pair will meet again in the quarterfinals on Saturday in Milledgeville.
