Six PBC Women's Soccer Players Named D2CCA All-Region

The 2025 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Women's Soccer All-Southeast Region Teams were announced Tuesday with six Peach Belt Conference players receiving recognition. Five North Georgia players received recognition, Alex Clark and Nina Lopez were each named to the first team All-Region while Blanca Cruz, Chloe Diaz and Grace McGill were each named second team All-Region. GCSU's Kaisa Fagerstrom was also named second team All-Region.

Clark appeared in all 22 matches, finishing with three goals and seven assists for 13 points. Her seven assists was second-best in the Peach Belt Conference, underscoring her role as a connector in North Georgia's high-tempo attack. She placed half of her 22 shots on goal and added one game-winning goal.

Lopez appeared in all 22 matches and finished with nine goals, seven assists and 25 points, tying for the team lead in total points. She generated constant pressure in the final third, recording a PBC-leading 77 shots and placing 26 on target.

Cruz appeared in all 22 matches and ranked third on the roster with nine goals and 22 total points, adding four assists as a steady contributor in the final third. She also posted 21 shots on goal and was second in the conference with four game-winning goals.

Diaz appeared in all 22 matches, finishing with three goals and six assists for 12 points. She generated consistent pressure in the attacking third with 29 shots, including 15 on frame and recorded three game-winning goals, tying her for third-most on the roster.

McGill finished the year with 10 goals and five assists for 25 points, tying for second on the team in total points while appearing in all 22 matches. Her production came on 61 shots, posting a .164 shooting percentage and her 10 goals was third-best in the league.

Fagerstrom appeared in 17 of GCSU's 18 matches this season. She finished the season with three goals and an assist. Fagerstrom was named PBC Freshman of the Year for her defensive efforts this season, helping the Bobcats to seven clean sheets while playing 1,463 minutes.

North Georgia's five selections were second most in the region behind Catawba's seven. Sports information directors from NCAA Division II schools and conferences selected the three D2CCA All-America teams.

The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
