Six-time defending PBC men’s cross country champions Augusta University have been tabbed favorites once again by the conference coaches. The Jaguars received six first place votes to lead the way with 62 points. Flagler received three first place votes and sit in second with 59 points. GCSU round out the top three with 50 points, followed in order by Clayton State, Columbus State, Lander, USCA, USC Beaufort and Georgia Southwestern.
Augusta won their sixth consecutive PBC title in 2024, tying Kennesaw State (1994-1999) for the most consecutive PBC Championship wins. The Jaguars took the first six places at the PBC Championship to secure a best-possible score of 15 points. The Jaguars finished second at the NCAA Southeast Regional, securing their place at the NCAA National Championship where they finished 18
th. Augusta celebrated their first All American in program history with senior Jordan Robertson finishing in 32
nd at the National Championship. Just one of Augusta’s nine PBC all-conference honorees will be returning for the 2025 season.
Flagler finished in second place at the PBC Championship for the sixth season. The Saints closed their season with a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional, repeating their finish from the previous year. Flagler sees the return of three PBC all-conference members, Kaleb Hollins, Will Stone and Finn Russell, for the 2025 season.
2025 Championship hosts GCSU have been tabbed for a third-place finish in the preseason coaches’ poll. The Bobcats came in third at the 2024 PBC Championship, their best finish since 2021. GCSU placed 13
th at the NCAA Southeast Regional, with each of their top five finishers establishing new personal-best 10k times.
