Defending PBC Tournament Champions, Flagler College, have been named favorite for the 2025 season as voted for by the league's coaches. Four teams received first place votes from the coaches in what is expected to be a very competitive season. Flagler received one first place vote and totaled 31 points, Clayton State received three first place votes and totaled 30 points, North Georgia received two first place votes and totaled 29 points while Lander received one first place vote and totaled 20 points. Georgia Southwestern, USCA and Middle Georgia round out the voting.
The Preseason Coaches' Poll is below followed by the Preseason All-Conference team. Coaches were not permitted to rank their own teams or vote for their own players.
Flagler, 2024 PBC Tournament Champions
, have been tabbed favorites for the 2025 season, receiving one first place vote. Flagler closed out the 2024 PBC regular season tied for second place. The Saints received the #3 seed in the PBC Tournament and began an incredible run which saw them defeat USCA 3-0 in the first round. Flagler then moved on to the semifinals where they scored three goals in the final six minutes to defeat North Georgia 4-2. The Saints faced Clayton State in the Championship Game where they came back from 1-0 down to win the game 2-1 with four minutes remaining. Flagler received the #10 seed in NCAA Super Region 2, their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2013 and wrapped up the season with a 12-5-3 record. The Saints see the return of PBC All-Conference selections, Finn Weigelt, Reiss Skeen and Alex Alexandrou, along with PBC All-Tournament selection Gustav Moberg.
Clayton State, reigning PBC Regular Season Champions received three first place votes and have been tabbed to finish second in the 2025 season. The Lakers had a historic season in 2024, clinching back-to-back regular season titles for the first time since 06/07. Clayton State received the #1 seed in the PBC Tournament and received the #4 seed in the NCAA Super Region 2. The Lakers faced Converse in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, where they tied the game with just 17 seconds left and advanced following a penalty shootout victory. In the next game, Clayton State defeated #1 Limestone 2-1 in overtime to advance to the Elite Eight for the first time since 2010 where they fell to Lynn in overtime and ended their season with a 13-4-4 record. The Lakers see the return of United Soccer Coaches All-American Othmane Chagour along with PBC All-Conference selection Fallah Johnson and PBC All-Tournament Team selection Aaron Diaz.
North Georgia have been tabbed to finish third this year, receiving two first place votes. The Nighthawks ended the regular season tied for second and received the #2 seed in the PBC Tournament. North Georgia sees the return of four PBC All-Conference selections in Max Mitchell, Aram Lara, Vukašin Lukovic and PBC Freshman of the Year Jorge Sandoval as well as PBC All-Tournament Team selection DJ Shin. PBC All-Conference and All- Tournament Team selection Fasaikou Jammeh also joins the Nighthawks for the 2025 season.
