Columbus State #2, North Georgia #12 in United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll

KANSAS CITY, MO – Columbus State women's soccer have earned the No. 2 spot in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll and are joined by North Georgia who earn the #12 spot. Lander also opens the season receiving votes. 

CSU remains close to the top of Division II ranks after closing out the season at the No. 2 position with a 22-1-2 overall record, an NCAA Final Four appearance, along Peach Belt Conference Regular Season and Tournament titles in 2024. For 2025, Columbus State will face five teams that rank within the preseason top 25 with two others receiving votes. Those with rankings are No. 7-ranked West Florida, No. 12 North Georgia, No. 19 Montevallo, No. 21 Florida Tech, and No. 23 Catawba. CSU is also set to face Lander and Lenoir-Rhyne, both of which are receiving votes.

North Georgia holds their spot at #12 having closed out the season in the same spot with a 13-4-3 record. The Nighthawks made a strong run in the PBC Tournament before falling to Columbus State in the Southeast Region Championship. 

Lander closed their season out with a 9-4-5 record, closing out the season to North Georgia in the second round of the NCAA Championship following a thrilling comeback vs Lenoir Rhyne in the first round. ]
