With basketball season swiftly approaching, the Peach Belt Conference is excited to share insights about our 11 basketball playing institutions.The preview is a strategic compilation of materials gathered during the annual Peach Belt Conference Media Day. This is the third consecutive year that the PBC hosted the event in person with coaches and student athletes from all 11 member institutions in attendance.
“With basketball season just around the corner, excitement is building across our campuses and communities. A new season means another opportunity to showcase the talent and hard work of our student-athletes and coaches” said Commissioner Diana Kling. “In addition to two national championships in PBC history, thirty men’s and women’s teams advanced to NCAA post season play, with seven appearances in the Elite 8 in the last five years alone. I look forward to watching our teams continue to compete at the highest level both on the court and in the classroom.”
Throughout the month of October, PBC fans can hear from players and coaches from all 11 PBC men’s and women’s basketball teams. Interviews will be released every Monday, Wednesday and Friday of October in alphabetical order. Please reference the timeline below to see the full release schedule.

The PBC Basketball Preseason Coaches’ Poll and Preseason All-Conference Teams will be released on October 29th. PBC fans are encouraged to vote below and be a part of the inaugural Preseason Fan Polls. Fan poll results will be updated on our social media accounts throughout the month of October and will be compared to the official poll voted for by the head coaches.

Important Dates in the PBC Basketball Season
- Augusta men’s basketball has received an invite to the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic, and will open their season in Lakeland, Fl. on November 1st.
- North Georgia women’s basketball has received and invite to the D2CCA Tip-Off Classic, and will open their season in Erie, Pa. on November 7th.
- The regular season is set to begin on November 14th with all 11 men’s and women’s teams taking the court during opening weekend to face non-conference opponents.
- The PBC conference schedule is set to begin on December 3rd, with twenty-five men’s and women’s conference matchups set for the month of December.
- PBC basketball returns in the new year on January 3rd, with the final PBC regular season game set for March 1st.
- The PBC Basketball Tournament begins on Wednesday, March 4th with quarterfinal games being hosted by higher seeds.
- The final four will be held at the highest remaining seed, with semifinals set for March 7th, and the final set for March 8th.
