MEN’S BASKETBALL
Player of the Week
Jonah Lawrence, USCA
Freshman, Guard
  • Helped USCA to a 2-0 record on the week, notching two career-high games in a row
  • Lawrence had 23 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals in an 75-71 victory vs Augusta
  • Scored 29 points while adding nine rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 90-79 victory vs Clayton State
  • Lawrence is averaging 15.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.7 steals on the season so far
 
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Player of the Week
Taniyah Bowman, USC Beaufort
Junior, Guard
  • Helped USC Beaufort to a 2-0 week, averaging 24 points across both games
  • Bowman scored 22 points while adding five rebounds and four assists and a steal in a 74-66 victory over Georgia Southwestern
  • Scored 26 points while adding six rebounds and a steal in a 68-64 victory over North Georgia
  • Bowman is averaging 14.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.7 steals on the season so far
 
MEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Track Athlete of the Week
Michael Balkman, Lander
Sophomore
  • Placed second in the 400m at the Tryon Winter Classic with a time of 49.26
  • Placed fifth in the 200m with a school record and PBC best of 21.81
  • His 200m time is the third fastest in PBC history
Field Athlete of the Week
Davonte Jackson, Clayton State
Senior
  • Broke the school record in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.38, good for third in the conference
  • Finished first in the triple jump with a mark of 14.21m
 
WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Track Athlete of the Week
Ziona Harris, Clayton State
Junior
  • Brought home three first place finishes this weekend
  • Went 60.85 in the 400m dash
  • Finished the 4x200m relay at 1:46.20
  • Finished the 4x400 relay at 4:12.07
Field Athlete of the Week
Patton Casto, USC Beaufort
Freshman
  • Placed 8th in the shot put at 11.02m, good for second in the conference
  • Placed 15th in the weight throw at 9.84m
