The Peach Belt Conference has released the 2025-26 Men’s Basketball Tournament Bracket following the conclusion of an action-packed final week of regular season play. PBC Tournament play will begin with the quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 4
th, hosted by the higher seeds. The semifinals and final will be hosted by the highest remaining seed on Saturday March 7
th and Sunday March 8
th.
Lander is the #1 seed in the PBC Tournament for the first time since 2016, where they received the #1 seed in the East Division. Ranked #3 in the most recent NCAA Southeast Region poll, the Bearcats secured the PBC Regular Season title last week, their first time in program history claiming the title outright. Lander wrapped up the regular season with a 22-5 overall record and a 17-3 record in conference play. The Bearcats enter the post season on a 7-game winning streak and will host eight seeded USCA on Wednesday with tipoff set for 7:30pm.
Columbus State receives the #2 seed in the PBC Tournament. Ranked #6 in the most recent NCAA Southeast Region poll, the Cougars closed out the regular season with a 21-7 record and a 15-5 record in PBC play. This is the second consecutive 20-win season for the Cougars, who enter the post season on a 7-game winning streak. Columbus State will host seventh seeded Georgia Southwestern on Wednesday with tipoff set for 7:30pm.
North Georgia receives the #3 seed in the PBC Tournament. The Nighthawks secured the third seed with a victory over USCB yesterday afternoon. Ranked #7 in the most recent NCAA Southeast Region poll, North Georgia closed out the regular season with a 20-6 record and a 14-6 record in conference play. North Georgia enter the post season on a 9-game win streak and will host #6 GCSU on Wednesday with tipoff set for 7:30pm.
USC Beaufort receives the #4 seed in the PBC Tournament, their second consecutive fourth seed. Ranked #9 in the most recent NCAA Southeast Region poll, the Sand Sharks closed out the regular season with a 19-9 record and a 13-7 record in PBC play. USC Beaufort will host fifth seeded Flagler on Wednesday with tipoff set for 7:30pm.
Flagler took home the victory on the final weekend vs
GCSU as the pair finished the season tied for fifth place in the PBC standings with an 11-9 record.
The first step in the tiebreak process is head-to-head results. GCSU won the first matchup on 1/17. For this tie to occur, Flagler will win the second matchup on 2/28. Since both teams remain tied, the next step is to compare each team’s results vs the highest seed not involved in the tie and continue until the tie is broken.
- Both teams went 0-2 vs #1 Lander, so the tiebreak moves to the #2 seed which has not been determined
- Flagler went 2-0 vs #2 Columbus State, but GCSU went 0-2 vs #2 Columbus State. Flagler have the upper hand in the tie break.
Flagler received the #5 seed in the PBC Tournament with GCSU receiving the #6 seed.
Georgia Southwestern finished in 7
th place in the PBC Standings and received the #7 seed in the PBC Tournament. The ‘Canes closed out the regular season with a 16-12 overall record and a 9-11 record in PBC play.
USCA secured the 8
th seed in the PBC Tournament following yesterday’s victory over Clayton State. The Pacers closed out the regular season with a 13-15 record and an 8-12 record in PBC play.
