Flagler Wins PBC Women's Golf Tournament

UNG's Mackenzie Connell Claimed Medalist Honors

A strong final round proves deadly for the Flagler College Saints as they secure the 2026 Peach Belt Conference women’s golf championship on Tuesday afternoon at the King & Bear Golf Course in St. Augustine. The Saints had a final round of 294 to secure the title for the second time in three years and the seventh overall. Flagler closed the tournament with a six-stroke lead on runners up Lander and North Georgia.

North Georgia’s Mackenzie Connell claimed the individual title, ending the tournament at seven-over par 223, with a two-stroke lead over PBC Freshman of the Year, Sofia Terzoli, who finished second. Connell is just the third Nighthawk to claim the medalist honor, joining Madeline Ananthasane (2021,2022) and Megan Sabol (2018).

Connell and Terzoli both led the way in par scoring, with 38 each. Connell led the way in Par 3 scoring alongside Ellie Jane Riner (UNG) and Victoria Veator (Flagler) averaging 3.08. This is Connell’s first individual victory of the season.

As a team, Flagler led the way in Par 3 and Par 5 scoring, averaging 3.25 on Par 3s and 5.09 on Par 5s. The Saints also led with 163 pars and had the fewest bogeys with 69. Lander led on Par 4s, averaging 4.29, while North Georgia led with 25 birdies. Flagler’s Addison King was the lone player to score an eagle in the tournament.
