15 PBC Athletes to Compete at NCAA Track & Field Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, IND -- Fifteen Peach Belt Conference athletes will compete in 17 events at the 2026 NCAA Track & Field National Championships. Embry-Riddle will send three men and six women to the finals, Augusta and USC Beaufort will each send two men, Clayton State and Flagler each sends one . The nine men's competitors sets the record for the most the PBC has sent to nationals, while the women send six competitors for the first time since 2016.

The 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships will takes place on May 21st through the 23rd in Emporia, Kansas. 


Gabriel Best, Augusta
  • Gabriel Best will compete at his first NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championship, marking his first overall national championship experience. Best will compete in the 3,000 Meter Steeplechase with a season best and Peach Belt Conference record time of 8:56.66.
Kamani Pardo, Augusta
  • Kamani Pardo will compete at his first NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championship, marking his first overall national championship experience. Pardo will compete in the high jump with a season best mark of 2.10 meters (6-10.75).
Davonte Jackson, Clayton State
  • Jackson becomes the first Laker since 2019 to be selected for the Championships. Davonte will compete in the long jump alongside some of the toughest competition in the nation.  Jackson qualifies for his first Championships after finishing with a final mark of 7.49m at the Emory Spring Break Classic on March 21st.  That mark also set a new school record. 
Luke Richardson, Embry-Riddle
  • Richardson will head to his first NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships after earning All-American honors at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships in March. Richardson will represent the Blue & Gold in the 100m and 200m, holding current bests of 10.15 and 20.65 respectively.
Derick Brown, Embry-Riddle
  • Derick Brown will also make his NCAA Division II Outdoor Championship debut, competing in the 110m hurdles. Brown competed at his first National Championship in March at the indoor event in the 60m hurdles and currently holds the 11th-fastest time in NCAA Division II at 13.84.
Mason Briggs, Embry-Riddle
  • Mason Briggs will join the others at his first NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championship, also marking his first overall national championship experience. Briggs will compete in the javelin with a current season and personal best mark of 66.86m.
Laura McBride, Embry-Riddle
  • Senior Laura McBride broke 2:10 in the 800m for the first time at the Lee University Last Chance meet, running 2:07.57 to catapult into the 19th-fastest time in NCAA Division II and set up her first ever appearance at a National Championship.
Taylor Roth, Embry-Riddle?
  • Taylor Roth will compete at her second NCAA Division II Outdoor Championship after running 2:07.67 at the Lee University Last Chance. She will look to earn her second All-American honor after finishing eighth at the Division II Indoor 800m Championships.
Allegra Triner, Embry-Riddle?
  • Allegra Triner will join McBride and Roth in the 800m following her personal best of 2:08.37 at the Lee University Last Chance. This will mark the first outdoor national championship appearance for the sophomore out of Illinois.
Jade Nayap, Embry-Riddle?
  • A school record-tying performance at the Lee University Last Chance set up sophomore Jade Nayap for her first appearance at an NCAA Division II National Championship. Nayap jumped 1.71m in the high jump to punch her spot into the 22-person field.
Mikaela Miles, Embry-Riddle?
  • Reigning Division II indoor triple jump national champion Mikaela Miles will head to her third straight Outdoor National Championship. Miles currently holds the fourth-best outdoor mark at 12.81m as she looks to defend her title as the best triple jumper in the nation.
Alexandra Baltazar Hall, Embry-Riddle?
  • Alexandra Baltazar Hall heads to her first NCAA Division II National Championship in her first season with the Eagles. Baltazar-Hall threw a season-best 49.60m in the discus to book her ticket. She currently ranks 14th and will look to fight into the top eight and earn All-American honors.

Kaleb Hollins, Flagler
  • Kaleb Hollins will make his NCAA Division II Outdoor Championship debut, competing in the 800 meters. Hollins competed at his first National Championship in March at the indoor event in the 800 meters. Hollins enters the Championship boasting a season-best time of 1:48.53.

Jakori Herring, USC Beaufort
  • Jakori Herring will compete at his first NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championship, marking his first overall national championship experience. Herring will compete in the 400 meter hurdles and currently holds the 12th-fastest time in NCAA Division II at 51.31.
Samuel Mitchell, USC Beaufort
  • Samuel Mitcheel will head to his first NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships marking his first overall national championship experience. Mitchell will compete in the long jump and triple jump, holding current bests of 7.55 meters and 15.08 meters respectively.
