AUGUSTA, Ga. – Peach Belt Conference Commissioner Diana Kling and Director of External Operations Cameron Wissel will represent the PBC on the national Division II level, beginning with the 2026-27 academic year.
Kling has been selected as the Second Vice President of the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA), while Wissel has been appointed to the NCAA Division II Internship Grant Selection Committee.
“National leadership and service are important to the continued growth of the Peach Belt Conference and Division II,” said Kling. “I am honored to have the opportunity to represent the PBC and to contribute to the work being done on behalf of Division II institutions, student-athletes and administrators across the country.”
Kling Selected as D2 CCA Second Vice President
Kling will begin a one-year term as Second Vice President of the D2 CCA in 2026-27. She is one of four D2 CCA officers, joining First Vice President Chris Colvin (CC), President Kris Dunbar (GLIAC) and Immediate Past President Will Prewitt (GAC).
D2 CCA officers serve a one-year term in each leadership position, progressing through the four officer positions for a complete four-year term. The officers meet monthly and work collaboratively on issues impacting Division II while also engaging with NCAA and Division II Athletic Directors Association leadership to support the continued growth and development of the division.
Kling’s appointment provides the Peach Belt Conference with a voice in national discussions surrounding the future of Division II and the interests of its conferences and institutions.
Wissel Appointed to NCAA Division II Internship Grant Selection Committee
Wissel will begin a three-year term on the NCAA Division II Internship Grant Selection Committee on September 1, 2026, continuing through August 31, 2029.
The five-member committee is responsible for reviewing grant proposals and selecting recipients for the Division II Internship Grant. Committee members are full-time employees of Division II member institutions or conferences and are selected through the division’s nominating process.
The grant provides financial assistance to Division II member schools and conferences committed to increasing opportunities for underrepresented groups, including veterans and first-generation college students, in entry-level intercollegiate athletics administrative positions.
Wissel’s appointment continues the PBC’s involvement in national Division II initiatives and provides an opportunity to contribute to the development of future athletics administrators across the division.
