
Warrick served as a coach and athletic director at USC Aiken for 39 years. He guided the department from the NAIA to NCAA Division II as a charter member of the Peach Belt Conference in 1991, added four new sports, constructed state-of-the-art facilities for baseball, basketball and volleyball and served on numerous NCAA committees.
During his tenure, USC Aiken won three NCAA Division II National Championships and was national runner-up on three other occasions in golf; competed in the Final Four in men's basketball once and the Elite Eight twice; and competed in the Division II Baseball World Series. Collectively, USC Aiken advanced to the NCAA Tournament 73 times.
There have been three Elite 15 winners, two NFCA scholar athletes and over 175 times his student-athletes were named to PBC all-academic teams. USC Aiken had eight CoSida All-Americans and 32 CoSIDA all-district honorees. The 2015-16 GPA for USC Aiken student-athletes was the highest it's ever been with a 3.074 avg. In addition, USC Aiken had five PBC Scholar-Athletes of the Year.
Warrick was on the NCAA National Golf Committee 2002- 2007 and was the National Chair 2005- 2007. He was an NCAA Southeast Super Region Site Rep on 9 different occasions including most recently in 2015 and 2016. He was a member of the NCAA D-II Athletic Director's Association Board of Directors from 1996- 2010. He was the chair for the PBC Athletic Director's Council from 2004-06. From 2003- 2006, he served on the NCAA D-II Strategic Alliance Matching Grant Committee. In addition, he has served on numerous other Peach Belt, region and national committees during his time at the helm of the department.
Retiring in 2018, the USCA Hall of Fame is named the Randy Warrick Athletics Hall of Fame.
