NCAA Gold Award: Diana Kling, Peach Belt Conference

12835Currently in her 18th year at the Peach Belt Conference, Diana Kling began her role in Division II as the league's Director of Compliance, rising to Assistant Commissioner, Associate Commissioner and now Deputy Commissioner. 

Her service record is second to none, serving as chair of the DII Legislation Committee and chair of the Interps Subcommittee. Additionally, she has served on the Committee on Women's Athletics, including two years as vice-chair, the Task Force on Sleep and Wellness, the DII NLI Advisory Team (since 2009), the DII Conference Grant Task Force and twice as co-chair of DII CCACA. 

Her commitment to the betterment of NCAA Division II is unparalleled and goes far beyond her committee service. In the Peach Belt, she created the Women in Athletics Seminar, bringing female student-athletes together with collegiate athletic industry professionals. She served as tournament coordinator for the 2012 and 2013 NCAA soccer national championships as the PBC became the first conference office to host a national tournament without institutional support. She oversees the conference grant program, AD and coaching mentor programs and created the PBC Career Forum, giving networking opportunities to student-athletes with career leaders.
