DADE CITY, Fla. – The No. 3 University of South Carolina Aiken golf team finished fourth at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional, enabling the squad to earn a berth in the upcoming NCAA Division II National Championship. Head coach Michael Carlisle's team finished the three-day tournament with a combined score of 876. The team posted scores of 293-290-293, tallying a score of 11-over par.

USCA is the only PBC team advancing to the finals.  Georgia Southwestern finished in ninth overall while Columbus State was 13th, Flagler 15th and Georgia College 19th.  The top six teams and top three individuals not a member of an advancing team moved on to the finals.

Nova Southeastern won the event with an 845 while Lynn (855) and Barry (875) rounded out the top three.  Saint Leo in fifth place and Florida Southern in sixth grabbed the other two spots in the national championship.

USCA Redshirt-freshman Johnson Holliday concluded the tournament with a three-under par, 213, taking sixth.

Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year Brandon Robinson-Thompson posted a six-over par, 222, after wrapping up the tournament with a three-over par Wednesday. He finished in a tie for 28th.

Axel Ostensson and Andrew Ward tied for 33rd at the tournament. Both shot scores of seven-over par, 223. Ostensson fired an even-par 72 Wednesday while Ward was three-over par, for his final score.

Hubert Tisserand tallied a nine-over par, 225, for the event. His score was good enough for a 46th-place effort.

The Pacers return to action May 18-22 at the NCAA Division II National Championship, which will take place in Conover, N.C., and is hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne.

Columbus State shot a 295 in the third round, a 10-stroke improvement from their second-round total, to finish the tournament with an overall mark of 896. The total put CSU one stroke back of No. 17 Florida Tech in the standings.

Robert Mize shot an even-par 72 in the final round, highlighted by an eagle on two to go along with five birdies. Mize's 217 total put him in a tie for 14th individually.

Taylor Martin matched Mize with a third-round 72, including six birdies, finishing tied for 48th with a 226 aggregate. Gideon van der Vyver shot a 74 in round three, totaling 222 for a tie in 28th.

K.J. Lee managed a 77 in the final round, finishing tied for 74th with an overall 232. Yannick Gumowski finished in a 97th-place tie with an 83.

GSW finished second of all the Peach Belt Teams competing, only 12 strokes behind USC Aiken who finished third. GSW also finished second of all the DII schools from the state of Georgia by only one stroke.

Hayes Dupree lead GSW in the 54-hole three-day tournament posting a 69, 74 and 75 to finish with a 218. Dupree eagled twice during the tournament and finish tied for 18th.

Nicholas Ward posted his lowest score of the tournament after shooting three birdies in a row on holes 13, 14 and 15 then shot two more later in the round. Ward started the tournament with a 77 in Round 1, improved in Round 2 with a 73 and finished with a 68 in Round 3 to place tied for 18th, 26 spots up from yesterday.

Chris Low finished tied for 39th with a 224 overall score after shooting a 77, 73 and 74. Low moved up five spots from the previous round.

For Flagler, Sebastian Barnoya turned in the best overall performance with an 8-over 224 which tied for 39th place. Spencer Schindler tied for 57th place with a 12-over 228 while Zach Horne tied for 68th place at 14-over 230. Michael Boss carded an 18-over 234 while Jordan Ebanks shot a 19-over 235.

Georgia College finished six strokes behind No. 23 North Greenville University in 18th and 124 ahead of Benedict College in 20th.

Today’s best round for the Bobcats belonged to sophomore Harry Lambert (Suwanee, Georgia) as he shot a two-over 74. He had three birdies on the round, two coming on the back nine. Lambert finished 82nd in the 108-golfer field at plus-18, adding rounds of 86 and 74 on the first two days.

Senior Ryan Trocchio (Norcross, Georgia) was tops on the team for a three-round score at plus-16 good for 74th place. He had a 72 in the second round, sandwiched by a pair of 80s.
