EVANS, Ga. | Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Year Mikkel Goling scored twice as No. 1-ranked Young Harris College shut out Flagler College 4-0 Friday (Nov. 12) afternoon in the semifinals of the PBC Tournament being played at Blanchard Woods Park.
The Mountain Lions improved to 16-0-1 and will face No. 2 seed Clayton State University, which shut out Lander University 2-0 in the other semifinal, in Sunday's (Nov. 14) noon championship match. The Saints ended their season at 10-8-0.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Young Harris opened up a quick 2-0 lead as they scored twice in the sixth minute.
- Sondre Olsen scored the Mountain Lions' first goal at the 5:07 mark as he took a pass from Quinn Thompson at the left post for his seventh strike.
- Olsen played a part in the next goal for YHC. Olsen passed the ball to Goling, who put it back in the right corner of the net at the 5:59 mark.
- Val Feeney's direct kick to Federico Gutierrez, who flicked it to Saad Maziane, who scored his team-leading 12th goal at the 69:19 mark, to give YHC a 3-0 lead.
- Goling'sĀ goal - his 11th of the 2021 season - wrapped up the scoring eight minutes later after Tony Barry sent the ball into the box.

- Eduardo D'Avino notched his third shutout of the season as he picked up four saves.
