Embry-Riddle's Beckwith, Adams Take Women's Track & Field Weekly Awards

Women’s Track Athlete of the Week: Ukeyvia Beckwith, Embry-Riddle

Beckwith set an NCAA provisional mark as she won the 800m at the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic with a time of 2:11.55. She won by nearly four seconds over her nearest competitor and matched a personal best in the event, which is the eight-fastest time in NCAA Division II this year. The junior from Orlando, Fla., also finished second in the high jump and leads the PBC in that event as well.

Women’s Field Athlete of the Week: Ta’Leah Adams, Embry-Riddle

Adams set a new Peach Belt Conference record in the hammer throw at the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic over the weekend. The senior from Madison, Ga., hit a mark of 54.19, more than a meter more than the old conference record of 52.84m which was set in 2015. She won the event by more than 10 meters, setting an NCAA Provisional Mark in the process.
