AUGUSTA, GA -- The Peach Belt Conference has released the 2022 volleyball tournament bracket with games beginning this Thursday, Nov. 10. Augusta University is the tournament's top seed and will host the event for the second year in a row at Christenberry Fieldhouse.
The Jaguars won the PBC regular-season championship for the first time in program history, finishing the regular season with a 12-3 conference mark, 24-6 overall. Augusta will be defending their tournament title and attempting to become the first PBC volleyball team to ever win five straight championships.
Lander finished one game behind Augusta for the #2 seed with an 11-4 league record, 20-8 overall. The Bearcats, who have their highest seed since 2018, will be seeking their first tournament title.
Augusta and Lander both earn first-round byes and will not take the court until Friday. Lander will face the winner of Thursday's opening match between third-seeded Flagler and sixth-seeded Young Harris while Augusta will meet the winner of #4 Georgia College and #5 USC Aiken.
The championship game will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday.
