Cabello rose to the occasion at the loaded Argonaut Invitational, shooting rounds of 68-66-73 to finish at nine-under 207 and in second place. The junior from Santiago, Chile, set personal bests for tournament finish and 54-hole scoring as he finished ahead of 31 golfers who were ranked ahead of him, including the No. 2, 3 & 4 ranked individuals in Division II. His second-round 66 featured six birdies and no bogies, five of those birdies coming on the back nine where he shot a 31. His six-under in that round is tied for the fourth-lowest score (relative to par) in the PBC this season. His efforts helped the Lakers to an eight-place finish in a 17-team field in which every team but one is ranked in the Golfstat top 50 with five ranked in the top 10. Cabello picks up his second top-five finish of the season and is now eighth in the PBC with a 72.07 stroke average.
