CORAL SPRINGS, FLA – North Georgia’s Madeline Ananthasane and Lander’s Hannah Stephenson were named second-team All-Americans by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA). This is the fifth time the PBC has had multiple All-Americans, the first since 2017.

This is the second time Ananthasane was named to the second team after debuting there a year ago. She marks the fourth All-American selection in program history after Megan Sabol also earned the accolades twice in her career.

The sophomore from Dacula, Georgia, won her first two tournaments of the year at the UIndy Invitational and the DBU Women's Classic. She is one of only two PBC players with multiple wins on the season and leads the PBC in stroke average. In 11 events this season, she finished in the top 10 six times with five top fives. The two-time PBC Individual Champion and Player of the Year also had the low round of the conference with a six-under 66 in the first round at the DBU.

Her three wins this year is tied for the second-most in a single season in PBC history and her four total career wins in tied for fourth-most in league history.

Stephenson finishes her season ranked 14th in Division II women's golf by GolfStat. Her adjusted scoring average was 74.71. Stephenson's highest finish came at the Converse Spring Invitational where she finished first. She had eight top-10 finishes on the season. 

Stephenson competed as an individual at the Division II NCAA Championships earlier this month, finishing tied for 14th. She was also named Peach Belt First Team All-Conference and won the Elite 16 Award for the highest cumulative grade point average.

A senior from Lexington, S.C., she becomes only the second Lander women’s golfer to be named an All-American, joining Teresa Hernani who earned the honor in 2013.
