TEMPE, ARIZ – Three Peach Belt Conference men’s tennis players were named All-Americans by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). All-America honors are given to singles players who finish in the top 20 of the ITA’s final rankings and doubles teams who finish in the top 10.
Columbus State’s Alvaro Regalado is the only PBC player to receive the honor for both singles and doubles. Javier Cueto Ramos joined Regalado on the doubles list. North Georgia’s Joaquin Benoit was also recognized for singles.
Additionally, PBC men’s tennis nearly swept the ITA Southeast Region Awards with CSU’s Evan Isaacs named the region Coach of the Year. UNG’s Ryan Gaskin was named the Senior Player of the Year and Young Harris’ Romeo Luque the winner of the Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship Award. The PBC received eight regional awards in all with the winners now eligible for national honors in the same category.
