PBC Men’s Golf Team, Players Receive GCAA Academic Awards

NORMAN, OK – Two Peach Belt Conference men’s golf teams and 11 players were honored for their academic achievements as the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced their academic awards. USC Aiken and North Georgia were given Outstanding Team Academic Awards with USCA receiving the Presidents Special Recognition with a GPA of 3.5 or more. The Pacers also had four players named All-America Scholars, most among PBC schools.

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division II. In addition, they must participate in 50 percent of their team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
