Shing went 6-0 as the Bobcats rolled to three victories last week. In the 5-2 win at Erskine, she teamed with Shradha Chhabra for a 7-5 win in third doubles. The sophomore from Auckland, New Zealand, followed that up with a shutout victory over Emma Bentz in first singles. Saturday against Converse, she and Chhabra teamed for another 6-4 victory, then Shing beat Tanya Glogowski-Watson 6-1, 7-6[1] in the top slot. To close the week, against Catawba, she and Chhabra posted a 6-4 victory before Shing beat Lena Friedrich 7-5, 6-0. Shing is 8-2 at #1 singles this season and has played more matches at #1 than any other player in the PBC.
