Reigning PBC women’s basketball regular season and tournament champions North Georgia have been voted as preseason favorites to take home the 2025-26 title. The Nighthawks received nine first place votes from the league’s coaches, with Columbus State and Augusta each receiving one. Flagler and Lander completed the top five, followed in order by Georgia Southwestern, Clayton State, USC Beaufort, GCSU, USCA and Middle Georgia.

The preseason coaches' poll is below followed by the All-Conference team. Coaches were not permitted to rank their own teams or vote for their own players.

North Georgia added two trophies to their collection in 2024-25, as the Nighthawks took home the PBC regular season title and PBC tournament title. North Georgia were #1 seed in the NCAA Southeast region and hosted the regional tournament, winning their first two games before falling to #2 Coker in the regional championship game. The Nighthawks have a strong returning class including WBCA/D2CCA All American and PBC Player of the Year Caroline Martin. North Georgia have also been ranked #4 in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) preseason rankings.

The Cougars earned the #5 seed in the NCAA Southeast Region where they knocked off #4 Francis Marion in an overtime thriller in the first round before falling to #1 North Georgia in the second round. The Cougars ended their season with a 21-9 record. PBC All-Conference member Letiya Reeves highlights the Cougars returning class.
