The PBC Volleyball Tournament opened in exciting fashion today in St. Augustine. The day began at 2:00pm as #2 Augusta defeated #7 Salem who were making their PBC Tournament debut. The day continued at 4:30pm as #3 Lander defeated #6 Middle Georgia who also made their PBC Tournament debut. The final game of the day began at 7:00pm as #4 USCA faced #5 GCSU in a five set thriller as GCSU advanced. The semifinals are set to begin at 2:00pm tomorrow with #2 Augusta facing #3 Lander. Hosts and #1 seed Flagler make their 2025 Tournament debut at 4:30pm as they face #5 GCSU.

AUGUSTA SWEEPS SALEM TO ADVANCE IN PBC TOURNAMENT
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Augusta opened postseason play with a convincing 3–0 win over Salem (W.Va.) on Friday afternoon, earning a spot in Saturday's Peach Belt Conference Tournament semifinals. The Jaguars improved to 25–7 on the year with the 25–9, 25–20, 25–10 victory.
Augusta controlled the opening set from the first serve, siding out at a high clip and generating early separation to take the frame 25–9. Salem responded with a stronger effort in the second, pulling within a point at 18–17 before the Jaguars closed the door with an 7–3 finishing push. The third set belonged entirely to AU; Augusta hit .368 in the final frame and held Salem to just five kills. Sofiia Snitsarevych powered the offense with an efficient 11 kills on 20 swings (.550) while contributing eight blocks. Lauren Posaadded seven kills without an error and nine block assists, helping the Jaguars finish with 26 total blocks — one of their highest single-match totals of the season. Setter Sydney Harrington distributed 33 assists and added three aces, while Mia Saavedra served four aces and picked up eight digs. Angela Mateos chipped in six kills and seven digs, and Patrycja Kabala was effective off the bench with five kills on eight attempts (.500). As a team, Augusta hit .283 and limited Salem to just 23 kills on 100 swings (.030). The Jaguars tallied 13 service aces and held a 26–0 advantage in total team blocks and block assists combined.

MILLER BECOMES CONFERENCE ALL-TIME KILLS LEADER; LANDER ADVANCE TO PBC SEMIFINALS
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Lander volleyball rolled into the Peach Belt Conference Tournament semifinals on Friday afternoon, topping Middle Georgia 3-1 in the quarterfinal round while witnessing a historic milestone from one of its greatest players.
The Bearcats (19-9, 10-5 PBC) secured the win with set scores of 25-16, 23-25, 25-17, and 25-17, powered by a balanced offensive effort and a standout defensive performance that produced 97 digs. The afternoon belonged to senior outside hitter
Katie Miller, who officially became the Peach Belt Conference's All-Time Career Kills Leader during the match. Miller entered the contest needing 11 kills to surpass the previous mark of 1,906 held by UNF's Jackie Struck since 2004. Miller finished with 18 kills, pushing her new career total to 1,914, a number poised to grow as the Bearcats continue their postseason run.

Miller's night also included 19 digs, two aces, and 20.5 points overall. She was one of three Bearcats to finish with double-digit kills, joined by
Ryleigh Willard and
Karson Browning, who each posted 13.
Enisilina Savelio steered the offense with 46 assists while adding 15 digs and a service ace. Defensively,
Emmi Cheek anchored Lander with a match-high and a new career-high 30 digs, helping limit Middle Georgia (6-22, 0-15 PBC) to a .057 hitting percentage. The Bearcats hit .234 as a team, highlighted by a .343 mark in the third set and a .314 clip in the fourth. Lander advances to Saturday's semifinal round, where they will face No. 2-seeded Augusta, continuing its pursuit of its first-ever Peach Belt Championship with its record-breaking leader at the forefront. First serve is set for 2 p.m. at the Flagler Gym.

WEEKS LEADS BOBCATS TO FIVE SET WIN OVER PACERS IN PEACH BELT TOURNAMENT
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. | Kaylee Weeks collected 18 kills as the Georgia College & State University women's volleyball team rallied for a five-set victory over USCA Friday (Nov. 21) evening in the first round of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament being played at Flagler Gymnasium.
The Bobcats, who are the tournament's No. 5 seed, won the opening set 25-17 before the Pacers, who were seeded fourth, won the next two games 25-21 and 25-22. GCSU won 25-23 in the fourth game to set up the pivotal fifth set. The Bobcats staved off a match point at 15-14 on an USCA attack error. GCSU took a 16-15 lead on a block by
Nya Warren and
Camryn Carlton. Another Pacer attack error sealed the win for the Bobcats. The Bobcats snapped their four-match losing streak at the PBC Tournament as GCSU, which has won three matches in a row, improved to 16-15. The Bobcats registered their first PBC Tournament win since 2018 when GCSU advanced to the title match. USCA ended its season at 15-16. Weeks led the Bobcats with a .283 hitting percentage as she only had three errors in 53 swings.
Lexi Polychrones tallied 11 kills, while Carlton recorded 10 more and
Avery Huyck had nine.
Alanis Bernis led GCSU with 34 digs, while Weeks had 23.
Milla Smith posted 20 digs, while
Riese Johnson had 13. Johnson distributed 23 assists for GCSU, while
Sadie Parkerson had 22. Warren led the Bobcats with seven total blocks, while Weeks had four and Polychrones and Carlton had three apiece.
GCSU will face No. 1 seed and tournament host Flagler College in a 4:30 p.m. semifinal match Saturday (Nov. 22).
