Following a thrilling regular season, the Peach Belt Conference has announced the 2025 Men’s Soccer All-Conference team. Post season awards are nominated and voted for by the league’s coaches. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own players. Lander’s Christian Hatley has been tabbed Offensive Player of the Year, while Flagler’s Filip Hornburg has been named both Defensive Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year. North Georgia’s Anel Lilic has been named Coach of the Year. All 'of the year' awards are presented by College Ave.
PBC Offensive Player of the Year, Presented by College Ave
Christian Hatley, Lander
Senior, Forward
- Led the PBC with 11 assists in the 2025 season.
- Tied for the top spot in the PBC in points with 23 and added six goals throughout the year, which is tied for fourth in the conference.
- Hatley is tied for second in NCAA Division II with 0.69 assists per game, and third in the nation in total assists.
- Hatley is the first Lander player since 2021 to receive an ‘of the Year’ award and is the seventh different Bearcat to claim the PBC Offensive Player of the Year honor.
PBC Defensive Player of the Year & Freshman of the Year, Presented by College Ave
Filip Hornburg, Flagler
Freshman, Defender
- Played and started in 17 games for the Saints in his freshman season
- A part of the Flagler defense that held opponents to just 18 goals this season, averaging 1.00 goals against average which is good for second in the PBC
- Flagler led the PBC in shutouts, with 7 and shutouts per game with .389
- Hornburg scored four goals on the season, all in conference play
PBC Coach of the Year, Presented by College Ave
Anel Lilic, North Georgia
3rd Season
- Led the North Georgia Nighthawks to their first PBC Regular Season title in program history and is the first Nighthawk to be named PBC Men’s Soccer Coach of the Year
- Led the Nighthawks to a 9-4-5 overall record, and an 8-2-2 record in the PBC
- Their .639 overall winning percentage, and .750 conference winning percentage is the highest in both categories for the Nighthawks since 2004
Select Sport Gold Ball Award
Cesar Rubio-Amaya, Georgia Southwestern
Senior, Forward
- The Select Sport Gold Ball Award is awarded to the highest goal scorer across all games in the 2025 season
- Rubio-Amaya leads the way in the PBC with 10 goals, while adding three assists and is tied for the top spot with 23 points
- Tallied an eight-game scoring streak to open the season, and ended the season averaging .667 goals per game
Elite 18 Award
Charlie Bell, Lander
Senior, Defender
- The PBC Elite 18 Award is presented at each of the PBC's 18 championships to the student-athlete competing with the highest cumulative GPA. Bell entered the 2025 season with a 4.0 GPA
- Bell started 15 of 16 games for Lander this season, totaling 1276 minutes
- Bell was a part of the Lander defense that allowed just 14 goals against on the season, averaging 0.88 per game, the lowest in the conference
