Five Peach Belt Conference women's soccer players were named Scholar All-Americans by United Soccer Coaches. Columbus State's Sarah Hungerford was named first team, with teammate Kelsey Croft being named second team. North Georgia's Alex Clark, Grace McGill and Chloe Diaz were also named second team.
Hungerford adds first team Scholar All-American to a growing list of accolades. Hungerford was named PBC Offensive Player of the Year and was the Gold Ball Award recipient, leading the leauge in all offensive statistics.Hungerford earned first team all region honors from the United Soccer Coaches. Hungerford was most recently named United Soccer Coaches All-American Second Team.
Clark adds second team Scholar All-American to her impressive list of post-season awards. Clark was named PBC Defensive Player of the Year. Clark earned United Soccer Coaches and D2CCA first team all region honors. Clark was most recently named D2CCA All-American First Team.
Croft, McGill and Diaz each received their first all-american recognition of the season as they were named second team Scholar All-American. All three were named PBC All-Conference first team. The trio were also all named United Soccer Coaches first team all region. Diaz and McGill also received D2CCA second team all-region honors.
The United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American Teams honor student-athletes who maintain a high level of academic achievement while competing at an elite level. The five honors show the PBC and our member institutions commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes.
