Flagler Wins PBC Men's Tennis Tournament!

COLUMBUS, GA -- The Flagler won their second consecutive Peach Belt Conference men's tennis tournament title with a 4-1 victory over North Georgia on Sunday in Columbus. The Saints receive the PBC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Flagler picked up the doubles point, starting with Ilian Borlee and Simon Malis defeating CSU's Robin Eldin and Juan Cruz Blanco 6-4 at #1 doubles. Aly El Rafie and Baptiste Mercier then downed Marcos Castellanos and Franco Rebora 6-4 at #3 doubles to secure the point for Flagler.

In singles play, Flagler went up 2-0 as Malis defeated Rebora 6-3, 0-6, 6-0 at second singles. North Georgia responded at #4 singles as Blanco defeated Makary Adamek 6-4, 6-3.

Flagler got their fourth point at third singles as Borlee edged Castellanos 7-6 (7-1), 6-3. Filip Kana then secured the title for the Saints at #5 singles with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Lleyton Beasley.
