TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced the Division II Men's Tennis All-American honors for the 2024-25 season, recognizing the Columbus State duo of Andrea Sandrone and Elias Peter as an All-American Doubles pairing.
The duo posted a 26-4 record in all competition this season while also going 5-0 in conference action.
Sandrone and Peter have collaborated well on the court this season, battling to an ITA Southeast Regional title in the fall. Sandrone and Peter also earned First-Team All-PBC honors in doubles.
The criteria for ITA All-American singles honors are finishing in the top 20 of the final ITA National Singles Rankings. All-American recognition is awarded to doubles teams who finish in the top 10 of the final ITA National Doubles Rankings.
In addition to the All-American honors, Columbus State men's tennis ranked 16th in the latest ITA Rankings on May 29, with two ranked doubles pairings and one singles player ranked. Sandrone and Peter rose to become the second-ranked doubles pairing followed by Benedek Szombathelyi and Daniel Hammond's ranking of 31st.
Lastly, Samer Al Tori was ranked 67th in singles play. Al-Tori, a First-Team All-PBC selection, finished his season with a 15-10 slate while taking down a clean 5-0 conference record.
