DAYTONA BEACH, FLA -- The Embry-Riddle women's track & field team won their eighth straight Peach Belt Conference women's Track & Field Championship on Tuesday in Daytona Beach. The Eagles dominated, scoring more than double any other team in the field with 272 total points in the event. Flagler was second at 129.5 followed by Augusta in third and Lander in fourth.
On the track, ERAU scored wins in the 100 hurdles as Michala Daniels won in 14.84 while Taylor Roth won the 800m in 2:09.89. The Eagles soared in the field events as Madison Morris won the discus with a throw of 40.67m. Mikaela Miles followed up her long jump win on Monday with a win in the triple jump on Tuesday, setting a PBC meet record at 12.87m which is also longest in the PBC this season and an NCAA provisional mark.
Other notable results included CSU's Nakhia Montgomery, who set an NCAA provisional time in winning the 200m in 24.18. The Clayton State team ran the fastest 4x100 relay and 4x400 relays in the conference this season; winning the 100 in 47.02 and the 400 in 3:55.16.
