10 PBC Athletes Claim All-American Honors as NCAA Championship Concluded Sunday

Four Peach Belt Conference student athletes competed in the final day of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday. Embry-Riddle's Mason Briggs, Jade Nayap and Luke Richardson as well as USC Beaufort's Samuel Mitchell each competed on the national stage in Emporia, Kansas. 

Embry-Riddle's Luke Richardson competed in the 100 meter finals where he finished in 8th place with a time of 10.42 which earned him first team All-American honors. Mason Briggs competed in the Javelin where he closed the day in 17th with a throw of 60.51m. ERAU's Jade Nayap competed in the High Jump. 

USC Beaufort's Samuel Mitchell competed in the triple jump where he finished in 15th place with a jump of 14.74m. His finish earned him second team All-American honors for the second time this weekend, having secured the honor in the long jump on Friday with his 13th place finish. 

In total, the Peach Belt Conference saw 10 athletes claim All-American honors throughout the weekend, highlighted by Embry-Riddle's Mikaela Miles Runner-Up finish in the triple jump to earn first team All-American honors. ERAU's Richardson joined Miles with a first team All-American honor in the 100 meters, and a second team honor in the 200 meters. 

Flagler's Kaleb Hollins earned second team All-American honors for his 10th place finish in the 800 meters on Saturday, while Embry-Riddle's Taylor Roth (15th place) and Laura McBride (16th place) both earned second team honors for their finishes in the 800 meters. Alex Baltazar-Hall earned second team honors for her 13th place finish in the discus on Saturday. Augusta's Kamani Pardo earned second team honors for his 16th place finish in the high jump on Saturday morning.
