HILTON HEAD, SC -- The Peach Belt Conference announced that Lander University has won the 2025-26 Sports Information Staff of the Year Award at the league's annual awards dinner in Hilton Head on Tuesday night.

The Bearcats Sports Information staff is led by Turner Kirby, Director of Athletic Communications with the help of Hailey Franklin and Jason Guth, Assistant Sports Information Directors who were honored for their coverage throughout the 2025-26 season. Kirby was in attendance to receive the award.

The Lander sports information staff had a monumental 2025-26 season. Their staff produced over 150 live events on the Bearcat Broadcasting Network, hosted multiple conference championships and provided coverage through social media and web content of their teams from regular-season contests through regional and national championship appearances. Their team shared the success of Lander athletics teams while also giving insight into the culture and community of the university through their coverage.

This is the third SID Staff of the Year award for Lander, the most recent coming in 2023.
