The Peach Belt Conference has released the 2026 Softball Tournament bracket following the conclusion of an action-packed final weekend of the regular season. The top eight teams advance to the PBC Tournament in a single-elimination, three-day bracket. Play will begin on Friday, May 8
th at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium in Dahlonega, Ga. The University of North Georgia will host the event.
North Georgia secured the PBC Regular Season title and #1 seed in the PBC tournament following a phenomenal season. The Nighthawks closed out regular season play with a 42-8 overall record and a 22-5 record in conference play. The Nighthawks will face #8 Flagler in Friday’s tournament opener, as the Saints secured the #8 seed with a series victory over GSW this weekend. Flagler ended the season with a 10-17 record in PBC action.
Columbus State secured the #2 seed following their series victory over Lander in the final weekend. The Cougars completed conference play with a 20-7 record and enters the postseason with a 33-18 overall record. The Cougars will face #7 Augusta in the first round of the PBC Tournament.
The Jaguars ended the season with a 12-15 record in PBC action and tied for fifth with both USCA and USC Beaufort. The trio were seeded based on tiebreak procedure, beginning with head-to-head results where USCA had a 4-2 record, USCB has a 3-3 record, and Augusta had a 2-4 record. The Pacers received the #5 seed, the Sand Sharks received the #6 seed, and the Jaguars received the #7 seed.
Lander and GCSU both ended the season with a 16-11 record in conference play and tied for third place. Since GCSU won the series vs Lander, GCSU received the #3 seed and Lander received the #4 seed. GCSU will face #6 USC Beaufort in the first round of the PBC Tournament and Lander will face #5 seed USCA in the first round.
