Six PBC Men's Golfers Join USCB's Laurent as GCAA/ PING All-Americans

Norman, Okla -- Six have been named PING  All-Americans by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Friday. USC Beaufort's Octavio Laurent was previously named first team All-American. Georgia Southwestern’s Sam Brown has been named second team All-American, with teammate Jordan Jones, Columbus State's William Partner and North Georgia's Hunter Smith each earning third team All-American recognition. GSW's Sacha Corlouer and Columbus State's Ian Pienaar both earned honorable mention recognition.

Brown capped his junior season as one of the top golfers in Division II, finishing the year ranked No. 12 nationally. The Sofia, Bulgaria native claimed medalist honors at the Peach Belt Conference Championship, winning by six strokes to help the Hurricanes secure their second conference title in the last four years. Brown recorded four top-10 finishes and nine top-25 finishes during the season with a 72.15 scoring average. He also paced Georgia Southwestern at the NCAA Division II National Championship, finishing tied for 18th among 127 golfers.

Jones continued his emergence as one of the nation's premier players, earning Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year honors after a standout sophomore campaign. Ranked No. 20 nationally at season's end, Jones captured medalist honors at the Bobcat Invitational with a dominant seven-stroke victory and led the team lead with a 72.11 scoring average. Jones posted four top-10 finishes and eight top-25 finishes while helping the Hurricanes maintain a national ranking throughout the season.

Partner closed the season ranked No. 8 nationally and No. 4 regionally. He posted an adjusted scoring average of 70.1 across 21 rounds and finished with 51.68 average weighted points. Partner also competed in seven stroke-play events and one match-play event during the season.

Smith earned the honor after a strong 2025-26 campaign in which he consistently led the Nighthawks throughout the season. In addition to his All-American selection, Smith was also named to the Peach Belt Conference All-Conference First Team. The senior posted multiple top-10 finishes during the year, including a fifth-place finish at the Copperhead Championship and Tennessee River Rumble. He also finished sixth at the Savannah Lakes Men's Fall Invitational, seventh at the LMU Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate and tied for ninth at the Argonaut Invitational. Smith added another top-10 performance at the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate, finishing tied for 10th. At the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional, Smith paced the Nighthawks with a top-20 individual finish.

Pienaar was one of 28 golfers named Honorable Mention All-America. He finished the year ranked No. 43 nationally and No. 15 regionally with a 71.3 adjusted scoring average over 33 rounds. Pienaar also recorded 40.34 average weighted points while competing in 11 stroke play events and one match play event.

Corlouer made an immediate impact after joining the Hurricanes for the spring semester. The freshman finished the season ranked No. 22 nationally and became the first player in program history to earn selection to the GCAA All-Freshman Team. Corlouer highlighted his debut season with an individual victory at the Argonaut Invitational and recorded two top-10 finishes and five top-25 performances in eight events. He shot par or better in 14 of his 24 rounds played while providing a key boost to Georgia Southwestern's postseason run.

The GCAA began naming NCAA Division II All-Americans in 1975, with PING sponsoring the award since at least 1991. For Division II, the First Team consists of eight golfers, with an additional spot if the individual national champion was not already named to the First Team. Eight golfers are selected to the Second Team, eight to the Third Team, and at least 16 receive Honorable Mention recognition.

Founded in 1959 by Karsten Solheim, PING designs, manufactures, and markets golf equipment, including metal woods, irons, wedges, putters, and golf bags.
